:CAN Gaudet takes down :ITA Bormolini in the eighth-finals :yikes::cheer:

Bormolini has consistently failed at major events since 2023: he dominates the World Cup, then wins the World Championship qualifications, but is quickly eliminated in the knockout phase. I think this is good information material before the Olympics next year. Fortunately, in alpine snowboarding, Italy has a very strong and deep squad, and even the poorly performing Bormolini is effectively replaced by other colleagues.

But let's not make it so sweet, the women's team from Italy is very average and mediocre. What's worse, the Italians, as the host, were not able to force the IOC to add another 2 events - a parallel slalom to the Olympic program (which Russia can do in Sochi 2014), or team competitions, which is why it`s really only 1 event at the Olympics, where we have 6-7 great snowboarder.

Another "Azzurro" podium in Engladina

Here we have a good team and out staff have a goog job, similar to speed skating. It's a pity that in snowboardcross, everything is at the bottom, except for Moioli, because there is a team event in the Olympic program and in snowboard alpine - not.

Amazing achievement for us to cap off a remarkable winter sport season :hyper:   After 3 Junior World titles and a breakthrough World Cup season, everyone here knew Tervel Zamfirov is a big name for the future, but to actually end the season with a senior World Championship Gold medal is something else. :yikes: I am not sure, but this could actually be our first senior WCH title in any snow sport!

most likely, yes (you have a few silver medals in women's Biathlon, but no gold)

but you also have an Olympic Gold thanks to Ekaterina Dafovska (Biathlon, women's 15km individual race, Nagano 1998)

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
