yeah, and now with the new Italian law on the ius sanguinis citizenship it's also a lot harder to be eligible for our passport (and National team for what concerns the sport competitions)

What would happen if the Italian link would be only a grandparent?

good 90% (maybe more) of current players wouldn't be eligible for our NT

most of them are 3rd generation or even further back in the family tree (not counting those who are married to Italian women/men, but there aren't so many...the most famous examples of that are Josefa Idem in canoeing, Fiona May in athletics and Frank Chamizo in Wrestling...3 in a sea of people recruited by heritage)

Cricket should follow Football type U-23 teams with 3 seniors allowed. This would open a new U-23 class in cricket, helping cricketers.

Tokyo - 2020

  • 1 month later...

The first day of the European qualifiers at the T20 World Cup in The Hague came to an end. No big surprises:

  • :ITA defeated :GGY by 7 wickets, dominating the match
  • :NED defeated :JEY won 7 wickets with only 3 balls remaining, despite an easy target on paper (160)

On a depressing weekend, a little cricket in the background while studying is a panacea.

India sharply beat England at home, bringing the series to 1-1.

I am now watching what will presumably be the final day of West Indies-Australia, with the Windies needing 210 runs with 6 wickets available. Match free on YouTube
