Had forgotten about it, but Dutch commentator just mentioned it: Steve Hooker became world champion in 2009 with literally only 3 jumps in his entire championship :d 

 

5.65m in qualifying in one attempt

Failed his opening height of 5.85m in the first try, skipped straight to 5.90m. Made that in one try (his third jump of the entire competition, including qualifying) and nobody beat it :p

Yeah had it in mind when Crowser was competing but he spoilt it!

He did show why the whole discussion about removing the bar and having an entire 'take-off area' is absolute bullshit: he timed his take-off to perfection, +0.1cm, which is very much a part of being a good long jumper.
