Hey! Show us tomorrow please if Naser made it to the front page of Portuguese sport newspapers. I remember you were saying there's only football and football on page 1

There are clear differences between Furlani (20 years old) and Iapichino (23 years old). This is what I meant, when I wrote about athletes with the mentality of great champions at major events and those, who usually fail there but shine in various Diamond Leagues and similar commercial meetings.

This would be a legit thing to say about Iapichino if she keeps being among the best in the world (as she is) and still hasn't won a major global medal after the 2036 Olympics. "Not the mentality of a great champion". Sigh.

Here's an example of a great champion with a killer mentality: a some moments earlier: European champion- Andrew Howe of Italy had jumped his personal best: 8.47, taking the lead by a just 1 centimeter in the 6 round in World Championship- Osaka 2007. What did Saladino do? He responded immediately: 8.57 and a guaranteed gold medal. Even in top form and with the best talent, he wouldn't have been able to do this without a strong character and killer mental. A person like Iapichino, even in top form, would have melted away in a similar situation like April snow on a sunny day:d

Hmm, on the day where Jose Mourinho (the biggest football couch in Portugal history) is about to sign for Benfica (the most popular football team in Portugal)?

Thats something risky to ask but let’s see!

Hey, some of us have to work. :p

You can do several things at once, especially in the time of the internet :) Because of course, back then you had to record on VHS and it was a more complicated operation.

I missed the classic 10000m final in Sydney 2000 because my 5-hour VHS tape - the longest you could buy in those days - ran out just as it was starting.

I often recorded ski jumping and cross-country skiing in the early of 21st century.

True, but it has the opposite affect as well. Now with the internet i can watch it whenever i can / want. Unlike in the past, when if you didn't watch it live, you could very well have missed it. So if it's not something unmissable and i'm busy with something, i prefer to come home, have a drink, lay down and watch it like a champ. :d
