very small population football based and concentrated in only one city.

they are actually the richest country in South America.

Yeah but still their sport infrastructure is ridiculously bad. Even Paraguay who isn't much bigger is better in that.

Yes, Uruguay and Paraguay are always mentioned alongside each other; even in football, they've often been eliminated at similar stages. But what you can say about Chile?

Chile blows both out of the water in infrastructure. Any kind of infrastructure, not just sport. Yet they have little sport success relative to that development.

52 pages already, and we’re not even two days in, damn.

The World Athletics Championships thread always seems to attract a fair bit of traffic. There's been some more active threads lately, which is nice to see.

It is :d

But I assume it costs a bit of money to keep things running, and considering @hckošice and I are trying to get employed making schedules for big championships like this, we might as well ask our future employers to pay for Totallympics :cheer:

Didn't that super official website give Totallympics a USD $40 million value a few years ago? If anything, @Sindo should be paying everyone by the letter :p

I don't know if it's already been written here or elsewhere (don't want to search for it through hundreds of forum pages)

a few days ago World Athletics made it official: the mixed 4*100m relay from now until at least Los Angeles (2028) included will be run with the format M/W/M/W, just like the mixed 4*400m

so, there will be 2 very complicated male-to-female exchanges instead of 1 (if they held the initial format M/M/W/W or viceversa)

Also while we are on the subject, we have seen our last 35km walk - from now on it will be Marathon & Half-marathon.

This system of race is wrong 100% , athletes push each others , many strong onces missed the win

The stadium should be a direct line , not circle

:CHI have their best-ever crop of athletes at the moment, some very good lady sprinters.

More on Julia Paternain.  Like triathlete Flora Duffy :BER she got her start running in the English Schools Championships.  Think she only qualified to run here on the Afghan 100m runner principle.
