Another bit of good news, sort of. The Martin Fourcade Festival races next weekend are also being covered - OK, on Eurovision Sport. -
They both won gold M2X basically dominated the whole race, and Cholopoulos ends his U19 career with his first world title, after getting bronze in M4X in 2022, silver in M2X in 2023, and finally gold in M2X in 2024 M1X was tricky, Makrygiannis after a disappointing silver last year was 3rd for most of the race, then put on an incredible sprint (he was 6.34 seconds behind the leader after 1500m) to win gold . He is young enough that he'll get the chance to defend his title next year as well Now we'll see who will win the U19 medal count. each with 3 golds. Greece and Italy each have 1 silver also, but Italy won one of their golds and their silver in a non-Olympic category. Romania also has a good chance to win another gold in W1X... -

Most of the tuneup games are now done Denmark scores 3 goals in a 8 minute period in the 3rd to defeat Latvia 3-2 Ukraine leads 5-0 midway thru 3rd period before Hungary scores 3 straight goals Final Ukraine 6 Hungary 3 In a close game Kazakhstan defeats Pirati Chomutov 4-2 Great Britain game still going on. -

Yes, he will only increase by 1cm at a time, so for example if he was to reach 6.38m, that would need 12 more world record to be broken. So let's say, how many times is he likely to break a world record in a season. Logic tells you it will get harder and harder to do so. Let's look at the last few seasons to see how many times he broke the world record: 2022: 3 times 2023: 2 times 2024: 3 times So if we say he is able to break the record 3 times a year (which will obviously get harder to do as he raises it further each time) to get to 6.38m it would take him another 4 years which I think is about doable. But it also depends on him staying at the current level and even getting better, which I think he can as well. Makes you appreciate getting to see Mondo and these WRs because in a couple of years time these might become very rare and might be one of those records that lasts for decades. -

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. It's especially noticeable on YouTube, where FIS generally posts highlights of every World Cup in all of their sports....but especially in sports like freestyle skiing and snowboarding they don't when it's in Switzerland or Austria. Not exactly sure what it is, but there's definitely a rights thing with some FIS events in those two specific countries. -

I doubt it, there's not gonna be much left of that sprint by the time lap 50 or so comes around, and then you're still only a quarter of the way in
