Zermatt has been dropped and apparently they're not happy since they have a 5 year contract. Word is they banned professional skiers from training there in the summer :mumble:

Has there been a bigger sporting Governing Body failure recently, than FIS and Zermatt. All the announcements, fireworks, ground-breaking event etc. and there hasn't been a single race done :lol:

2029 Worlds to be hosted by Narvik, Norway :NOR 

 

2031 will be in Val Gardena Italy :ITA

I missed this, *Sun Valley* is hosting the world cup finals? Wow. Might have to attend that.

    • The Games haven't began and there is already drama around the hosts. Looks like there is some saga around the selection of Rebecca Mariani to the team, who is the daughter of the technical director from what i saw. 
    • will loose its one and only medal in weightlifting... This should be awarded to  
    • Lots of snow in  Nové Mēsto, not something that often happens.  Many big names sitting out, so a chance to catch up with contenders for the European Championships next weekend.  
    • Team Bulgaria final tally is 20 athletes, which give or take a few, has been our norm in every Winter Olympics in the past 30 years.
