Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024 Medal Count

Recommended Posts

I hope Swimming and Running is limited to 1 competitor or max 2 per event instead of limiting Weighlifting lol.

We know how this always goes.

Before the Beijing Olympics, the central government in China designated each province to train a different sport. In the USA, this is not possible. There, each state has its own independence, and training is based on universities. This cannot be centrally controlled but this is the only way to clearly beat China.

I know about that strategy. Also, China is doing great work in youth sports, even children sports. USA doesnt do that.

While China did in fact sweep the golds (boringly), did you watch the 10m platform final? Tamai was only 3 points behind Cao after 4 dives, but then a disasterous 5th dive took him out of contention.

I managed to watch that same dive only because i was watching rhythmic gymnastics and women's handball.

He entered the water like a total beginner. Plus, technical errors while in air.

Oh it was definitely a horrible dive, I’m just saying that the Chinese winning gold was far from certain before that :d

What's with all the doom and gloom on the United States? They still have many opportunities over the day and tomorrow.

China isn't making any mistakes so the United States needs to be up to the task in converting their opportunities.

Exactly. US is pretty strong in team sports. They are winning the women's football gold. Will sweep the basketball golds. And will probably win some golds in Athletics and Wrestling. They will easily go number 1 even if I want China to finish first.

This speaks volumes. :)

Winning all golds is mandatory in 99.99% of competitions.

Wrestling - probably only Kyle Snyder. That girl can surprise but Kyrgyz girl is a favorite, no doubt.
