How many medals do you expect from your Nation at the Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024?

I know Faith is incredible but Jessica Hull has made absurd drops in time do you think she can win gold?

Honestly she could do that or not even get a medal. I think a minor medal is more likely

She has gone under the radar and now is in perfect form heading in. It will be interesting

INDIA

The aim is for double digits (10+) medals and bettering the Tokyo Haul of 7 medals at the very least. However, I have a far more conservative prediction:

Neeraj Chopra (Javelin Throw) - Gold

Nikhat Zareen (Boxing) - Gold/silver

Satwig/Chirag (Badminton) - Silver/Bronze

Antim Panghal (Wrestling) - Bronze

These 4 for me are the most likely medal contenders. Mirabai Chanu is one in weightlifting but her current form and recovery from injury is a concern. Lovlina is the current world champion but has a very tough QF draw. The men's archery, hockey teams have outside shouts of medalling.

And finally we have the shooting contingent which was the biggest disappointment for us in Tokyo.

Accounting for 2 medals in these events, I have India finishing with 1 Gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals for a total of 6 medals!

:HUN I am predicting 5 gold medals, and overall 16 medals.

Gold medal chances, the medal is expected

  1. Canoe Sprint, Men's K1 1000m
  2. Canoe Sprint, Men's K2 500m
  3. Modern Pentathlon, men's individual
  4. Swimming, men's 200m backstroke
  5. Swimming, men's 200m butterfly
  6. Wrestling, men's 65kg freestyle

Medal chances, in some cases gold medal chances

  1. Athletics, men's hammer throw
  2. Canoe Sprint, men's K4 500m
  3. Canoe Sprint, women's K1 500m
  4. Fencing, men's epee individual
  5. Fencing, men's sabre individual
  6. Fencing, men's epee team
  7. Fencing, men's sabre team
  8. Fencing, women's sabre individual
  9. Fencing, women's sabre team
  10. Judo, men's 90kg
  11. Judo, women's 52kg
  12. Modern Pentathlon, women's individual
  13. Sailing, women's ILCA6
  14. Swimming, men's 100m butterfly
  15. Swimming, men's 10km open water
  16. Swimming, women's 400m medley
  17. Taekwondo, men's 58kg
  18. Water Polo, men's
  19. Water Polo, women's
  20. Wrestling, 87kg GR

Overall less chances than in Tokyo and we don't have heavy favorites such as Milán in 200 fly at his peak or the women's K4 boat. I expect a slightly worse performance than in Tokyo.

:EGY are competing on 10 medals, statistically they can win 5-6 medals between:

Sara Samir Weightlifting 81 kg

Karim Kahla Weightlifting 89 kg

Neama Said Weightlifting 71 kg

Abd Ellatif Manea Wrestling GR 130 kg

Ahmed El-Gendy Modern Pentathlon

Mohanad Shabaan Modern Pentathlon

Seif Eissa Taekwondo 80 kg

Azmy Mehelba Shooting Skeet

Ziad El-sisy Fencing Sabre

Mohamed Hamza Fencing Foil

32 medals seems like a realistic expectation for Germany.

Should definitely be the (by far) worst performance ever.

I still don’t doubt that officials will somehow try to sell this as a success.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

The weights lifted by Karim, Neema and Abdel Latif in weightlifting do not guarantee a medal unless the competitors withdraw or the level of the competitors declines during the match.

Hello Mahmoud,

No one in the Egyptian team guarantee a medal (except Sara) .. therefore I mentioned they are (competing) .. remaining athletes have much less chances compared to those ones.

What nation has highest chance of winning its first  ever medal?

Also what nation has chance winning first gold medal ever ?
