Right, that definitely makes it clear there's some mistake in the code :d

The mistake being enthusiastic italian wants to grab another gold in the official table!

Indeed - Athletics, Swimming, Gymnastics...you'd almost think it was a Rome Olympics we were heading to, rather than Paris.

Must say, in terms of 'home-erism', it vaguely ammuses me that the official website counts the Italian men's team cup in the medal table as a gold, but doesn't acknowledge the GBR women's as a medal event!

Not only, we have a whole bunch of other sports, where they have been showing big improvements - track cycling, curling, weightlifting, their basketball is much stronger now, tennis of course, archery etc. And this is not including their traditional strong sports.

Only in some combat sports, like wrestling, they are not a factor, which shows the overall progress in the last couple of years. And also cross-country. Where are the Italian cross-country runners, not named Pellegrino :d

I assume there has been a major funding injection in Italian Sport similar to that provided by the UK Lottery that turbo charged UK sport?

Nice to have the medal ceremony in the stadium for the half marathons, instead of having it way later at some separate venue with people who weren't really part of it and with the adrenaline and emotion all gone.

The medal table is now showing all the team medals except our gold. I'm beginning to think the web admin is holding a grudge against us... :(

It keeps changing. I swear a minute or two ago the Spanish and German medals were showing. And now they've disappeared as well!

Those team medals count since 2018.

This results/timing system just sucks, it might be a multi billion company but they probably employed Pakistani teenagers for 1$ a day to do the work.
