See, I don’t really understand this logic. Teams play to win, not to lose. As a competitive athlete myself, that’s the way your mind works. Unless you’re one of the teams that were involved in the badminton fiasco at London 2012, and maybe there’s a few other cases too, but that’s besides the point. 
 

If Brazil had rested their best players for part of the game, it would make sense.
