So those, who earned quota in mixed doubles but also have a high ranking in singles and they qualify through the ranking, their SINGLES QUOTA will be reallocated to the next highest ranked player in the singles ranking, right? Do I understand it right? 😁😁😁😁 If so, I guess there will be more reallocations? So I guess also the quota of Doo Hoi Kem will be reallocated to another highest ranked in womens singles. So as an example, if :AUT qualifies today, Robert Gardos and Sofia Polcanova are also high ranked in singles so their singles quota also would be reallocated to another highest ranked player, right? But how about those who for example have the same player based on team qualification and they all participate in singles and also earned quota in mixed doubles? It will mean another reallocation?

If a nation earns a quota in both the team and doubles then the player competing in the doubles must compete in the team event.

To keep things simple, currently 4 men and 5 women will qualify through the world rankings, but that could increase up to 15 depending on the overlap between mixed doubles and the team or single qualifiers.

More players from country with a team  must be in the team

So for example in men's  we have now North Korea, Cuba, probably one or two guys tomorrow (for example Spain and Romania). And maybe one from ranking Spain/Hungary/Roumania

Maximum 5 teams. (Ranking is nearly finish). So from individual ranking  we will have at least 10 quota places. So we will have reallocated places if qualified player will be in this Top 10 in in individual ranking? He could play single, but still reallocated?

That player would play in singles and the top 10 becomes top 11.

The whole point is to have 86 men and 86 women compete.

So if there is one player who will compete in team, singles and also mixed doubles, it's considered as 1 quota, right?

An NOC with a qualified team and a qualified mixed doubles pair must use a member of their team in the mixed doubles.

So for example, :CHN qualifying in mixed doubles will cause a men's and women's singles quota to be re-allocated.

The system seems designed to have most of the mixed doubles athlete quotas get re-allocated to the singles draw, the only scenario where they aren't is when a player only plays in mixed doubles.

Pretty much. ITTF added an event costing only a few singles quota with the added bonus of giving the third member of some teams something to do after the team event.
