Qualifying through this is vital for us, as I don't think we'll get anyone through the individual qualifiers.

There will be a fair few spots available through the world team rankings. I expect 3-4 already qualified teams to make the last 8 here. Which will make 5-6 spots available through Team rankings. Teams that can’t make to QF here will look to qualify via ranking route, unless we have major upsets here & lower ranked teams qualify.

ANOTHER UPSET ALERT!!

:IND Sreeja Akula beats World No 2 Wang Yidi

For context China didn't lose any match in 2022 and just 3 in 2018, but they have lost 2 already in tie against India

Group 3 looks tough. Our men’s team is not in  best form & If they are not careful could easily loose to :POL&/ :CHI
Similarly I think even Polska v Chile will be a very tight match.

    • Exactly. Recent developments of the construction haven't been particularly encouraging, and while they'll probably get everything sorted just in time, a lot of North American fans have been quite vocal about every minor inconvenience.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
