Hurkacz playing really well against Zverev now. But it is still unclear how this match ends. As Leo Beenhakker once famously said: you can never underestimate your German opponent until he leaves the courts in his limo.😎

After 5 years for Tsitsipas, and 2.5 years for Sakkari, both will exit the top 10 on Monday

Sakkari has been losing early in a lot of the big events, and this week she lost to Noskova in Doha after having a match point on return and then serving for the match. Had she won she would still be top 10. However, she will likely return after Dubai because others are losing a lot of points and she isn't.

Tsitsipas has not played much lately due to injury, but he seems to be finally healthy again and will playing the Mexican tournaments before Indian Wells and Miami. With basically no points to defend for the next two months, he should be back in the top 10 soon.

It's just crazy that it feels like both have been in the top 10 for so long, and now they are both dropping out on the same exact day! But they will be back, I am sure!

New doubles format for the WTA/ATP tour has been announced, which will makes it’s debut at the Madrid Open.  I’m sort of convinced this is a delayed April Fools joke or something, because what the f*ck? … really hope this change doesn’t last long :facepalm:

Nobody really watched doubles anymore ergo nobody cares.

Ouch :p

As a doubles fan this hurts, but I can’t say that you’re wrong. But I think that’s partially due to the lack of streaming coverage, maybe if it was on TV more people would watch it.

About nobody caring, you do have a point in a sense, but that Instagram post has over 500 comments, most of them are showing support to the doubles players and expressing how ridiculous the rule changes were.

I’d much rather they remove one of the non-sports (or all of them in exchange for other sports) from TV channels. So far I’ve encountered pickleball, chase tag, and pillow fighting, and each of them were so boring that I fell asleep within ten minutes :p

    • 2 things...   first, for what concerns the cooperation between inline skating and speedskating federations...sorry to disppoint some of you, but there's a great cooperation between them   the point is that many "summer" skaters just don't want to try the ice because they have too much to give up for that   you name places like Collalbo or Baselga, but for the "summer skating" guys from centeral and southern regions it's not an option, it's not that they make it for a living with those disciplines, they have to focus on their studies and build a post-competitive sport career and they just can't place themselves into a hole in the mountains when they maybe are studying in some prestigious universities in the big cities   as I already posted more than once, the idea of covering one of those tracks in the mountains was something idiotic, a political concession impossible to be sustained   the one and only chance to build a true legacy and an efficient, attractive national training center was to build a permanent indoor oval in Milan, beside the Forum   that would have given all the "summer skaters" a true opportunity to try the ice experience and at the same time find the most useful, attractive, prestigious places to continue their studies and try and manage them together with their sports career   any other place wouldn't stand a chance   second...don't give Salvini any credit he doesn't deserve...actually, I think he doesn't even know that in Cortina there's a sliding sports track    it's not thanks to him that the Cortina track's building finally went underway
