Update from Stina Nilssons attempt to go from the best Cross country sprinter to biathlete:

Most events has been cancelled so after her debut in october where she had 3 misses in sprint and 10 misses in individual, she started in two sprints on sunday and monday. The first race was caotic, slipper conditions, fall, skiied some extra meters in wrong direction etc. She had 4 misses.

Better on monday where she shot 1+0 and finished 3rd in a race with the best biathletes in Sweden without the world cup team. Elisabeth Högberg shot clean but still over 40 seconds ahead of Stina. So a great shooting result for her 4th race ever, impressed by that, but even though she must be much slower on the shooting than the rest, I am still not very impressed of her being so far away from Högberg. I really hope she is skiing carefully now in the beginning until she has learned to shoot with high heart rate because that ski speed is not what I expected.

Lithuanian Championships are going to be held on January 2-3rd in Otepaa. I imagine Estonia, Latvia are probably going to be running too, but I don't think many Lithuanians are going to be able to travel, so I don't expect much, perhaps scraps from team A and everyone from team B?

The guys decided just to settle for an arm-wrestling & vodka drinking competition instead, then?

I found the Men's Individual race - https://biathlonrus.com/news/translyatsiya-individualnaya-gonka-u-muzhchin-na-chr-v-izhevske/

Looks like Canada was there.
