Sadly, in south america most people think everything is the same as football. It's the bad part of sports culture here.

It's so sad, I would want Braz to beat Lavillenie without any form of a doubt, he's one of my favourites, but those idiots in the crowds didn't deserve to witness a historic moment like this..

Brazil gain revenge on home soil in men's pole vault for FIFA WC 1998 where French won on home soil in the final against Brazil.... BBC analogy is weird but funny :d

So Braz doesnt get tested for one month and then improves his PB by 10 cm? Seems absolutely legit to me, nothing to see here.

Murphy improved his PB by almost 3 s this year ...

When was the last time that a russian male runner won a middle/long distance medal?

Sorry, but the US is dirtier than Russia has ever been and the sad thing is that, unlike Russia, the US wont have to worry about anything, because they just pay too much to be dispensable.

I am just happy when those doping games will be over, absolutely disgusting results in almost all disciplines.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Oh, this will never be forgotten. It is a collective national trauma. It's impossible to take revenge for something so cruel.

Even the 7 x 1 is seen as a huge joke, and people laugh at it. But don't mention 1998 to a Brazilian. Never. Ever.

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
    • after a few leagues ended well before the true climax, now we have both leagues from the good, old Czechoslovakia going to game #7    shame that both games will be at the exact same time
    • complete blackout resulting in a 5 minutes major 3 minutes to the end
    • Extraliga Playoffs   The Finals (Best-of-7 Series)   Game #6: HC Kometa Brno (4) - HC Dynamo Pardubice (3)  1-5 (0-1, 0-1, 1-3)   the series is tied 3-3 and also in Czechia we're gonna watch the magic of a game 7...Extraliga does never disappoint its fans    Game #7 is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29th in Pardubice @ 6 p.m. CET
