Those were two unusually fun mass starts :d

Chaos in the women's race and nice attacking in the men's race. Loubineaud's moment will come!

First heat in the 10k B division (where they ride with 4 at a time): one finisher, one DQ (apparently for stayering behind someone), one WDR, one DNF :p

@heywoodu do you know why half the athletes were disqualified in the women’s mass start?

If you get lapped, you get taken out of the race. Schouten passed almost everyone in her final sprint and therefore more than half of the skaters were taken out of the final classification.

Ice was horrible for the 10k, but super fighter Ghiotto managed it absolutely perfectly :d

And Roest with his typical all-or-nothing ride. This time it was a 'nothing', completely collapsing in the end.

Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases

It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
