I have watched some Brazilian jiu-jitsu and I'm still recovering from the brain damage the boredom gave me, so no thanks :)

We had that at the Asian Games and to me that's the worst possible sport. I call it "cat fighting" and since UAE sponsors this sport in Asia , we will have it in all other multi-sports events. :wall::wall:

Thank you for explaining to me that things I have enjoyed watching for quite some time now are things I would not miss :)

Which is weird, because OMG I actually watch it because I like it :yikes:

I wouldn't have asked about in this case NASCAR if I didn't like it, would I? I watch every race of the year, because I like it. May I decide by myself whether or not I do? You finding it boring (because yes, your opinion is not a fact) doesn't mean I can not enjoy it.

So there. Hope I didn't get across too angry at someone trying to tell me what I am supposed to like or not even though I already like them or not.

Kind of like when I talk about Dutch sports huh? Don’t be hypocritical.

If you’re talking about the Ju-Jitsu in the World and Asian Games, it’s not the same as Brazilian Ju-Jutsu

"Hey I'm coming to the Netherlands for a few weeks, any idea where I could watch the skateboarding on TV so I won't have to miss it?"

"No you shouldn't watch it, I find it incredibly boring, so don't watch it."

Rant mode is on

I never said you shouldn’t watch NASCAR. I was just stating as a former fan, why I wouldn’t waste time on it.

WEC, lol. As an avid fan of motor racing, both on two and four wheels, WEC is one of the few things I can not bring myself to watch. Only the 24H of Le Mans but that's tradition, and generally not very exciting.

I find WEC to be the most exciting series. The only motorsports I watch anymore are WEC, IMSA, and the famous races (Monaco, Indy, etc.)

Actually, your post is sort of what you accused me of a while ago: pretty much burning down something, or attempting to do so, of which I rather clearly showed I like it.

And it's football. Yet another thing I'd gladly give up in order to watch NASCAR (and NFL).

Right, never a good idea to go to sleep angry, so imma count to ten and calm down and goodnight everyone, even the Californian Totallympics users :p

Reap what you sow.

Goodnight to Belgium’s lame top hat.

I’m going to enjoy my WEC, Ju-Jitsu, Frisian, and Korfball tonight

By the way @heywoodu I didn’t mean my post in a critical way. You had asked the Brazilians advice on sports channels and were talking about things you might watch. I was just trying to give you my opinion, as someone who’s been exposed to those sports for their whole life, on the topic. I’m sorry it offended you. I didn’t mean to discourage you from watching. I was just trying to tell you about the sport’s presence in my country. I feel like I was well in my rights to write what I wrote. I wasn’t attacking you, your country, or your sports. It’s not my fault you’re looking to stoke drama up, just because of what I said a few weeks ago.

@heywoodu So look, I’ve said some rude things in this post and in posts. I also realize what I posted right before this is counterintuitive to this post.

I’d like to offer out and olive branch and apologize. I’m not good at solving conflict, and I often start drama. I should have though about the post more before I made it. I’m sorry. I try to be a positive member on this forum and build other users up. This afternoon I failed at that. That is my fault, and again, I’m sorry.

 Cheers to being a great user.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
    • Well ya, which is why the Egyptian and Iranian teams can shut up and dribble :P
    • The problem is, the World Cup is not a local event. Overall it's another storm in a teacup. LGBT rights in Muslim countries won't change a damn inch becuse of one soccer match in Seattle
