Well, happy reading then :d I have both books, the part with the Hochschorners is the funniest, with their quote, there five rings at the Olympics, so we want five golds, one for each ring...it did not last too long, however :p

@hckošice

and I just got another great selection of olympic books from martinus.sk !!!

first of all great Czech album of Tokyo 2020, they have published this one very quickly! I have only bought some German Tokyo books on amazon quicker than this one https://www.martinus.sk/?uItem=1083249

and I got very similar ones from Rio and Pyeongchang as well, nice collection this is

these two Slovak books are very good as well https://www.martinus.sk/?uItem=305517

https://www.martinus.sk/?uItem=166718

Czech books are more about great photos, less to read. Nice to see that Slovak books have more text, hope to read it all (I'm still improving my Czech and Slovak languages hah)

and this one is sth special https://www.martinus.sk/?uItem=616269

so thanks for the past advice about martinus.sk!

  • 1 year later...

As almost all the 2022 season world championships are done maybe we could do sth similar - Paris 2024 simulation, as it could happen, with predicting the medalists, day by day? What you think?

Mathieu van der Poel got injured? :p

Schurter is a challenge for him, sometimes, but he wipes the floor with Flückiger and especially Avancini :d

Oh actually he did!!!

India winning hockey bronze

Most of the predictions in Indian media talks about 2 main types of

disciplines

1.Precision sports

Not that we are expecting a medal in achery but 0-1 chances if we are lucky. Shooting anyway is..

2.Combat sports

Boxing and wrestling

3.Weightlifting(Miscellaneous)

Badminton has lost hopes.. We have a world champion who hasnt won anything after that. 1/10 prediction mention hockey that too a good performance. While women's hockey is going pretty well. But medals pretty much in above 3.

In 2020 nobody in India expected a medal in javelin???

Yes Neeraj wasnt consistent enough and was injured for a long time.

Even Hockey we didn't expect a medal as we have famously underperformed.
