What’s even worse is the way the team events are organised. Look at the last minute withdrawals in football. We’re left with a situation where there are groups in both men and women’s tournaments with only two teams.

Do you have the final list of teams participating in ️ ?

The list of teams competing in both men and women’s tournaments are available on the official website in the Competitions section under Ball Sports. It’s also available on the 2022 Asian Games Wikipedia page.

What a horrible start, no results/entries etc.

When following any of the OCA’s sporting events, you have to keep your standards low.

Bornan is doing the results here, and they have been good at all events in the past, so yea must be a OC/OCA issue

Bornan kind of dropped the ball on San Salvador 2023. They were late updating schedules, and forgot to post a fair amount of PDF reports.

MicroPlus might honestly be the best results provider at the moment. SwissTiming seems to be limited to Olympics/World Games at the moment. Don’t even get me started on Atos or DeporteVirtual. They

SwissTiming was the OCA’s partner for years (along with Ssangyong), but Bornan signed a long term contract with the OCA early this semester.

There are 27 pairs in men's beach volleyball and 20 in the women's event.

IMO OCA should institute qualification criteria and/or limit sizes of some events.

Agree. Especially for the team sports.

I like the free entries, since we get to see athletes from countries we wouldn’t normally see in some sports. I’d agree that there should maybe a financial penalty or future participation restrictions for late withdrawals though.
