Djokovic once again made a bit of a fool of himself, saying it's "really impossible!" to 'only' bring one staff member to the court, which is what is being talked about for the US Open to happen. Some true words from Danielle Collins: "It's very easy for someone who's won over 125 million euros to say what we should do, but most of us don't even have an entourage at all."

Djokovic desperately needs to play some tennis or something (which I guess he does, but something serious then), his mental state is getting worse and worse judging by the things he says.

Yeah, it seems like Djokovic thinks he's bigger than ATP. However there's too much money being lost elsewhere so they could well roll without him.

In 17th June in Gdańsk will start first of eight LOTOS PZT Polish Tournaments.

Of course this tournament will be only for local players, among them from "big" names are Katarzyna Kawa, Magdalena Fręch, Katarzyna Piter, Kacper Żuk, Daniel Michalski, Maciej Rajski and Jan Zieliński.

I hope that in next tournaments Ula Radwańska, Hubert Hurkacz and Magda Linette or Iga Świątek will enter.....

I was in the Ana Ivanovic camp back in the day :p

Lest we forget how Maria Sharapova managed to dismiss both Azarenka & Jankovic over the MTO usage in one clean sweep:

Always drama in WTA!

It's official

A further update on the intended schedule beyond Roland Garros, including a possible Asia swing ahead of the European indoor swing culminating with the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals in London, is expected in mid-July.

I wonder if all top players will play in both slams, or if someone will miss masters in Rome and Madrid

Some Europeans will probably skip the hard court swing and start directly on clay. I don't expect it, but both Nadal and Djokovic have said they could miss the US Open. The clay swing is definitely in the better position.

    • British Columbia in general and Vancouver in particular are awesome and it’s great more people got to discover it thanks to Vancouver 2010.
    • And of course the British being famous for curmudgeons, there were always plenty of curmudgeons to quote.  Then of course from the opening ceremony and the cycle race on the very first morning it was obviously going to be triumph, so everyone just shut up for a while.
    • Yep, the amount of emergency services I heard at some point was a little extreme (for our little town), so I checked what was going on and saw they were all being called to a specific location. Until then I thought maybe it was part of a parade of trucks and agricultural vehicles that was on it's way from the next town over, decorated with lights and stuff.   Since I knew it was on the parade route, I was sure one of those big vehicles had hit people somehow (there were, besides the many vehicles, also two helicopters on the way, meaning it certainly wasn't about a single victim).   We picked our bikes and went to take a look, absolutely chaos in the area. Never saw so many services combined together, fire trucks from 20km away, ambulance after ambulance came racing by, people frantically trying to make way for them (the roads weren't really closed yet).   While there we heard someone who had been close say that the parade hadn't arrived yet and what seemed to have happened was that a car from the other side came onto the roundabout and simply never turned. "It's a massive drama over there, unbelievable", he said.   Quite quickly rumours started spreading of course, the first one turned out to be true: a middle aged (local) woman was behind the wheel and seems to have become unwell. Local security camera showed the car going at high speed right before the roundabout.   Plenty of rumours going around in terms of who were involved of course, and people keeping each other up to date to see if they know this or that family and such...   Never expected my little town to be big news in the Netherlands, even including some breaking broadcasts, live reporters and everything, damn. By far the biggest thing to happen here in my memory

    • For me, these were very good Olympics, and British sport benefited greatly from them, and is still benefiting. I fear it will be much worse here. Canada also benefited very good on Vancouver 2010 – this is very good see in the medal standings of subsequent Winter Games after 2010 and earlier.
    • Nobody hates Britain more than the British media so… I recall it being quite a pessimistic tone before the London games started.
    • I'm curious what was written before London 2012? Did they attack their own country, or did they just keep quiet?

    • Very true point.  Although I think at this point everyone is just holding their collective breath until the test event.  The NHL isn't going to rage anymore until then because it's not like that would make the arena progress go any quicker
