The only time in history we played at the World Cup was in 1997. The hardest part of these qualifications was, surprisingly, in the first round against Turkey: we defeat in the first match away by -9 goals and a wonderful win at home by +10 goals. Later, against Belgium and now against Montenegro, we won two matches each: at home and away. Especially the last match against Montenegro was under our absolute control: we were still leading by several goals.

Does anyone here knows where will the World Cup be transmitted as a whole? Or is it just gonna be “Dutch tv will show the Dutch games, Portuguese tv will show the Portuguese games, etc”?

Day 1 results:

  32 -  25 ...a big surprise as a result but in the game the swift and talented Italian team deserved the win against one of the best teams in Africa, Tunisian players seem too heavy and lack of options and tactics. well done Italy.

 

 37 -   19 .. France easily dominates the game and the gap getting bigger and bigger along the game, the mixed international old lads team who called themselves Qatar wasn't able to play against France. good result for most of Handball fans 

 

 37 -  26 .. both teams are not top but despite the close results in the first half (18-16) Austria managed to widen the gap in the second half and secured a realistic win.

 

 47 -  22 .. easy win for Denmark, Algeria couldn't do anything against the world and olympic champion despite the great effort from the Algerian GK Khalifa Ghedbane.

 

3 teams qualify from each group, with yesterday performance it seems like:

 Group B   ...but if Tunisia kept the bad performance  has the chance to qualify ..their match will be the decider.

Group C   .. the match between Qatar and Austria will decide who will be in the 2nd place.
