My first vague memories are from 1998, but I was 7, so yeah...not too much  

 

2000 a little, definitely remember some of the legendary speed skating in 2002, then more and more from 2004 on. Now that I am not a school-going child anymore and I have the ability to ask for time off from work, I definitely do that during Olympics, ever since 2008 whenever possible

But the way it's written they are including 2028 and 2032. Or else they are incorrect in that LA has hosted 3 times prior to 2028.
