Forget Montreal-Toronto Bid, COC consider a Vancouver 2030 before a Montreal-Toronto Bids

I don't think that is true. The source says COC is strongly behind the summer bid. I'm sure the COC would rather a summer bid and hosting first...

It's true, the priority for the COC is the Vancouver-BC 2030 bid, which was confirmed during the Tokyo 2020 debriefing conference. And the Quebec government is not interested in supporting any sporting event ...

Madrid will not bid. Apparently IOC has said to the Spanish NOC president that they have other preferences for 2036 and it is not worth bidding.

Spain will keep the bid for the 2030 WOG, though.

Finally Spain for WOG, i've been saying it for some time now  Though SOG would be equally as good, i wonder who is the dumb IOC's favourite? They are not even hiding it at this point and directly say "don't even bother applying"

Any word on the other countries bidding for 2036?

Alejandro Blanco didn't say anything about the favorite bid of IOC, but some Spanish journalists suggested Egypt, India or Germany as the potential favorites of Thomas Bach.

Imo, those countries are bad choices.

Why choose Egypt as the first African country to host the Olympics? They’re better off giving it to South Africa.

As for India, wasn’t their CWG bad in 2010?

And why should they celebrate 100 years after the controversial 1936 Berlin Olympics?

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
    • Always dreamed Gretzky will draw Slovakia was another moment I can already remove from my things to do before die list
    • Finland have been awful in almost all winter sports, well beside ice hockey and cross-country from time to time, for a lot of years. It's very good to see them building people to challenge for wins again. Their new coach has done wonders it seems.
    • 14th June in Philadelphia against Cote d´Ivoire   20th June inToronto against Curacao   and 25th June in Philadeplphia to kick out  home    Not easy, but not the most difficult group. Should be okay. Vamos
