May be interesting to know, because Martina Wegman has some good chances to earn one of the 18 available spots here in K1.

Well in that case I think if she gets a top-10, she doesn't need anything else. If it's lower, there's some more results involved like top-8 in a World Cup or something.

the linked document says:

- ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup 2, 21-23 Jun 2019 Bratislava SLO
- ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup 3, 28-30 Jun 2019 Tacen SLO
- ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup 4, 30 Aug – 1 Sep 2019 Markkleeberg GER
- ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup 5, 6 – 8 Sep 2019 Prague CZE
- ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 25 – 29 Sep 2019 La Seu d’Urgell ESP
- ECA European Canoe Slalom Championships, 15 – 17 May 2020 Lee Valley GBR"

for what I can understand, it's top 10 and you're in with no other requirements...

meanwhile beyond top 10, you have to be at least once in the top 8 or twice in the top 12 of the named events (those at the bottom of the Dutch NOC criteria)

fun fact...most of the qualification events are already dead and gone...basically, the Dutch paddlers only have the top 10 in the World champs and/or the top 8 at the next European champs as a chance to match their standard...

Wait, there's a Dutch(wo)man participating in canoe slalom? This is news to me!

I agree with @phelps's reading of the qualification document. Top 10 world champs and you're safe, if not you must get top 8 in a World Cup or Top 12 in 2 World Cups.

wow the Russians looks really strong

The Russians impressed me. Poles, if not for the error at 15, I would be more satisfied, but they managed.

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.
