There is a reason space is called the final frontier. Hopefully, even with a crash landing, the rover is safe and relay data. Hopefully Orbiter would pick enough data to make corrections for the next attempt.

Of course, it's not like any of us here is anywhere near smart enough to do what they did, but that doesn't mean we have to only be super sad and serious about it I respect them anyway
