The draw for Women's EURO 2017 was made.

Italy (was in pot 3) have a  tough group  with Germany , Sweden and Russia. Only the Top 2 teams of each group will go at quarterfinals, we need a miracle..

Unbelievable :yikes: will have a lot of "derby" !!!

The draw

Group A:

  • :NED Netherlands
  • :NOR  Norway
  • :DEN Denmark
  • :BEL Belgium

Group B:

  • :GER Germany
  • :SWE Sweden
  • :ITA Italy
  • :RUS Russia

Group C:

  • :FRA France
  • :ISL Iceland
  • :AUT Austria
  • :SUI Switzerland

Group D:

  • :ENG England
  • :SCO Scotland
  • :ESP Spain
  • :POR Portugal

This is indeed an interesting draw: Netherlands vs Belgium, Norway vs Denmark, England vs Scotland, Portugal vs Spain, Switzerland vs Austria

I'm happy with the draw, Portugal has no chance at all in this tournament, but it could be much worse. I will be really happy if they manage to get a point, but even if they don't, they're still great heroes for going this far!  :POR

Slovakia U21 - Scotland U21  4-0 yesterday. Our U21 team is in very promising shape, from last 14 matches they lost only 3 matches.

SVK U21 - SCO U21 Goals Highlights  the second goal

Our u21 have to prove today that they are not accidentally world u20 champions. Norway is not bad at all. Unfortunately we will play without two players from the first 12 (Marko Grujic and Milos Veljkovic), both are injured :(

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases

It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
