Just GB I think. You only earned a quota if you finished on the podium and the other two already had quotas. The two unallocated quotas will be added to those being drawn from the rankings. If I'm wrong I'm sure Rafa will correct me!

That's right - just Bryson comes away with the quota. As both Italians were already qualified, the other 2 quotas will be allocated to the ranking list.

1) :HUN Bence Demeter - 240 pts: Derwin: 1 fence down and 1 time penalty in the women's event.

2) :EGY Mohanad Shaban - 235 pts (Quota): Prince: 4 fences down in the women's event.

3) :GBR Jo Choong - 235 pts (Quota): Miller: 2 fences down and 1 time penalty in the women's event.

4) :CHN Zhang Linbin - 235 pts: Jack: 5 fences down and 1 time penalty in the women's event.

5) :EGY Mohamed Elgendy - 235 pts: Motown: In as a replacement for Hugs. Was quickest in the jumping test with a single fence down.

6) :FRA Valentin Belaud - 230 pts: Tonka: refusal and 1 fence down in the women's event. Also incurred 11 time penalties

7) :KOR Lee Jihun - 230 pts: Nikki: 2 fences down in the women's event.

8) :KOR Jung Jinhwa - 230 pts: Arthur: 2 fences down in the women's event.

9) :KOR Jun Woongate - 230 pts: Rupert: 1 fence down and 6 time penalties in the women's event.

10) :MEX Emiliano Hernandez - 230 pts: Layla: 1 fence down in the women's event.

11) :GER Marvin Dogue - 215 pts (Quota): Oscar: 1 fence down in the women's event.

12) :HUN Csaba Bohm - 215 pts (Quota): Harley: 1 fence down and 2 time penalties in the women's event.

13) :GBR Myles Pillage - 215 pts: Charm: 4 fences down in the women's event.

14) :EGY Ahmed Elgendy - 210 pts: Jimmy: 2 fences down in the women's event.

15) :GBR Charles Brown - 205 pts: Splash: 5 fences down and 5 time penalties in the women's event.

16) :UKR Roman Popov - 205 pts: Roland: 2 fences down, a refusal and 13 time penalties in the women's event.

17) :CZE Martin Vlach - 200 pts: Cruise: 1 fence down in the women's event.

18) :ITA Giorgio Malan - 200 pts (Quota): Freddie: 4 fences down in the women's event.

The :GBR athletes haven't had the best draw - particularly Pillage and Brown who could easily lose big points if it goes the same way as the women's event. Of the top ranked athletes, :HUNDemeter likely to be pleased with his draw, as will :EGYMohamed Elgendy. In contrast, :CHN Zhang and :EGY Shaban may have got the worst luck at the top of the table.

This really isn't our Worlds... Thank God that this is happening here and not in Paris.

I am ready to say goodbye to riding, I won't miss it at all.

Very unfortunate turn of events for Laura Asadauskaitė.

Her luggage got lost, so she didn't have her usual fencing equipment.

Later on, her pistol was not approved by the judges as they claimed that the model was too old.

So Laura had to use a pistol that wasn't hers as well.

She is disappointed, because she felt that the title could've been hers.

    • Shades of 1998 with  and  in the same group but this time it's really a terrible draw for the Thistles. I recall Brazil and Scotland played in the same group in 1974 and 1990 too so that's quite a high probabiliy rate.

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
