if they use the same format of the world cup races:

the top 2 of the ranking advance directly to the finals, while the remaining 8 surfers are divided into 2 4-man heats "semifinal round" according to the serpentine system (3rd/6th/7th and 10th in one heat, 4th/5th/8th and 9th in the other heat)

the best ranked surfer in each heat starts with 2 "ghost wins", the 2nd best with 1 and the other 2 surfers with 0

the first to 3 wins in each semifinal group advances to the final round, which has the same format (the no.1 of the qualification races starts with 2 "ghost wins", the 2nd with 1 and the 2 surfers coming from the semis with 0. once again, the first to 3 wins gets the gold medal, then silver and bronze are awarded to the surfers with more wins in the final round and, if tied, the actual result of the last race counts for the final positions)

Is it same to iqfoil windsurfing?

no, that's even more complicated, there should be 3 medal rounds with single races (with the final being a 3-sailor race deciding only the colour of the medals)

yeah, right now there's quite a big difference between the top 2 crews (3 if we consider also Ugolini & Giubilei, who didn't go as well as expected here, but they're ranked no.2 in the WR) and the rest of the world

How many sailors will qualify to qf in windsurfing? We will know qualifiers when this stage will begin?

it should be the 1st straight to the final (so, medal assured), then 2nd and 3rd to the semis and 4th through 10th to the quarters

there are still 6 races (all tomorrow) in the qualifying stage before we know who's progressing to the medal races and who's not

no wind today...all the boats still ashore

hopefully, sooner or later they can stage at least the 2 medal races scheduled for today, but it's more and more unlikely

They've postponed the windsurfing races but appear to be still hoping they might get some of the other races in.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
    • Here's my calculations of the quotas.
