Really surprised Community kept the police brutality parody episode on Netflix. I mean it’s funny, but it definitely hits differently at the moment.

That's a good thing, current events shouldn't lead to episodes being removed. Finally a positive note about Community :d

Just to clarify, I’m not upset it wasn’t removed. I was just more shocked that they left it on Netflix given how much it mirrors the current situation (even if it is still very outlandish). It uses police brutality in response to a student protest as a punchline at one point, and it’s a little hard to laugh at that having seen the police do that IRL for the last month of so.

True. Plus that's not what the movement is about. Networks think they're doing something by removing these episodes or movies from their platforms but it just villainizes the movement when they're not even asking for this, it gives an opportunity to the opponents to make them look bad.

But they did remove the blackface episode, even though there is an actual story and plot in it. Because we need to protect that Netlix/Hulu image/stock, am i right..

Censorship always backfires against the censors. Damnatio memorae is just another form of censorship. Stalin did it so why can't Netflix do it? We live in such progressive times the liberals are taking lessons from ancient emperors and Joseph Stalin himself
