I don’t know if this applies to non-American viewers, but I highly, highly, highly recommend this series.

First eight episodes of fifth season of Lucifer will be available on Netflix from 21st August. Today it was also announced that there will be last sixth season as well, in next few weeks they will start filming of that :)

So, only when they say it's OK, HBO takes an instance against injustice?

Because this weekend, they suspended production of one of their shows in Mexico, because the host used a commonly used nickname for the Mexican president youngest son and the first "lady" took the matters to Twitter, so the President publicly attacked said anchor and hinted that him and any other critic voices against him and his family should be silenced,

So from now on, HBO productions are no longer on my watch list.

That’s terrible. I really expect better from HBO. I’ll have read into this further.

Just finished season 1 on Amazon. Quite a good/funny show, although the female detective is pretty annoying(ly stupid).

For anyone with Amazon Prime I can recommend Mr. Robot, Taboo, Hannibal and Fleabag.

I don't. Censoring 'Gone with the Wind' as 'history lesson' is one thing but they quickly caved in when President of Mexico called them out. Oh, how the mighty have fallen :p

Just started the Eurovision film and oh boy, it already went of rails. Rachel McAdams is basically playing some 55 year old singer, living with her mother or something...? The whole timeline is a total mess.

I want to watch this film, but I also don’t want to watch a terrible flop so...

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
