2:05.70 in 800 meters so Hall missed WR by nine points...

5,004 is the new AR but probably there's more to come in the future ;)

Lithuanian indoor championships start this weekend.

Last chance for our athletes to qualify to the European Indoor Championships.

Right now we have Jogailė Petrokaitė qualified for long jump. Modesta Morauskaitė and Tomas Keršulis were qualified for 400m, but seems like they're withdrawing, which is unfortunate, since Keršulis NR that he reached a week ago was actually the 5th qualifying time, so he could've done some damage in the championships.

Other than that, Urtė Baikšytė and Juozas Baikštys are qualifying from the rankings as well as Dovilė Kilty and Aina Grikšaitė in the triple jump.

Safe to assume these five are going to be representing Lithuania there, unless Palšytė surprises with a very good jump on the weekend, but I highly doubt that she's in form to jump anywhere higher than 1.90. Possibly ever again.

Gidey collapsing metres before the finish line after looking like she would stroll to the win not long before.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
