Tina Šutej set a new Slovenian NR yesterday in Ostrava, with a 4.82m mark in pole vault. Current WL too!. She is one of the big favourites in the upcoming EICH.

Startlists for Boston tomorrow night.  As is usual in the US, the races featuring Olympians, WR holders etc are squeezed in between the local High School shootouts.

Good news is that :GBR Athletics have come up with a fairly* robust defence of women’s sport.

* Fairly. They say the Govt needs to pass new laws. Others don’t think that’s needed.

Women's category restricted to biological women and an open category for everyone else seems to be World Athletics' ultimate goal as well.

it might be the best solution for everybody (except the trangender athletes, who have their chances to steal global medals dead and gone), after all...

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
