It’s probably on par with the Anaheim Grand Prix venue then, and 2018 Mediterranean Games.

Yeah, mostly because the attendance is usually just the family and friends of the fencers :lol:

it's quite normal for tournaments held outside Europe...

 

also the Chicago Sabre World Cup last year and the Utah tournament this year, the already mentioned above Anaheim Foil GP, the Tunis women's Sabre World Cup, the Warsaw men's Sabre World Cup...all of them have been held in the exhibition hall of a hotel...

unless you go to the 4/5 places where Fencing is a bit more popular (FRA/ITA/RUS/HUN...and I wouldn't add KOR because they never attend in big numbers to their own Sabre GP event), there's no need for (relitively) big arenas...
