Shame football tennis not selected, with 3x gold almost assured would be our best multi sport games ever

Fencing is the new addition to the games. All 12 Olympic events.

 

 

So, so far the official selected sports are Archery, Badminton, Beach Handball, Boxing, Canoeing (both Canoeing Sprint & Canoeing Slalom), Karate, Modern Pentathlon, 3x3 Basketball, Muay Thai, Shooting, Taekwondo, Padel, Triathlon, Summer Ski Jumping, Cycling (MTB Cycling & BMX Freestyle), Teqball, Sport Climbing, Beach Football and Kickboxing.

Judo (Mixed Team Event only) and Breaking were also confirmed to the sports program this week.

Fencing included as the official European Championships this time - so awarding many ranking points for Paris 2024

Which is pretty cool. European Games with only Olympic sports don't really add anything, I mean, they've all already got European championships, so....why yet another 'big' event? It's a lot more fun with all kinds of sports one sees way less often  

 

As for teqball, I know it because of Eurosport's top-X videos all the time (although not as often anymore nowadays) during commercial timeouts, they had one of teqball as well  

 

I see kickboxing is added as well. Some amateur version I guess, instead of the top-of-the-line athletes

Looks like athletics officialy joined to the list of sports at these European Games (in format of European Team Championships, like 1 athlete from country per event).
