well, the man has to go look for her and find her, I guess it is supposed to show how big the chemistry between them will be during the marriage, if the man is able to find his wife quickly, don´t ask me why we have such tradition

here is tradition that some of small kids from bride's side "steal" it's shoe and groom's guests pay some money (symbolic :D) to return it :D

We also have this stuff in Java called janur kuning, a slightly curved "sign" made of palm leaves with names of the bride and the groom hanging on it. It is usually put at the nearest intersection of the wedding location.

People often jokingly said "as long the janur is not erected, you still have the chance (to snatch or marry someone's fiancee)"

haha nice :d

well, the thing about the bride is nowadays just traditional meaning, you know, the bride is kidnapped but only somewhere to the closer places from the wedding party place like the nearest pub or so, so generally the groom will easily find her, it doesn´t took a lot of times :d

@DaniSRB Just arrived from my cousin´s wedding and I have to appologize because I forget last time to introduce you one typical "east"slovak wedding tradition. the bonnet ceremony

It´s called "redový tanec" you can google it and watch some videos. It is in fact the last big thing of the wedding, peoples usually should wait for it and only after they can go home (like me tonight lol). It happen right few minutes before or after midnight.

The invited guests form a circle around the bride and dance with her one by one (or by small groups) after other, THE THING is that for this dance they have to pay her (and it´s really something, usually 50 or even 100 EURO are thrown to the prepared hat, plate or cup) until the song finish. During this time the men will forcefully prevent the groom from reaching the bride until all the guests have had their turn and it ends with the bride and groom dancing together at the end of the song, then the groom lift up his new wife in sign to show to everyone that from this moment she is only his wife.and both take the money collected, it's essentially their first money together as the newlyweds.

here video how it looks

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
