Voting in this one ends on Sunday.

@phelps, where are you? ;-)

I'm completely lost between the Shooting, Judo and Track Cycling Worlds + the NPB and MLB Baseball playoffs and the beginning of the NHL season...:popcorn:

I just feel more tired than during the Olympic Games...really too many things to follow and too little time to do it (luckily, I'm getting old :old: which means I'm starting to suffer from insomnia :nopompom: and sometimes it happens that I wake up at 4.30 a.m. to watch live baseball and/or hockey from the US West Coast :yikes: :facepalm:leaving more times for the rest during the day)...

Athletics, men's 20km Race Walk...:POL Robert Korzeniowski is most likely the best specialist ever, quite an easy pick.

Athletics, women's Discus Throw...a lot of big names here, but since the past ages are not so trustable, I choose the most recent outstanding specialist, :CRO Sandra Perkovic.

Swimming, women's 200m Breaststroke...here it can only be :USA Rebecca Soni, the only woman to repeat herself over the distance.

Artistic Gymnastics, men's pommel Horse...very difficult choice, with at least 4 or 5 truly deserving guys...here I'm going quite behind in years, :YUG Miroslav Cerar is my choice.

Taekwondo, women's Middleweights (-67kg)...all of the candidates don't get me too excited, so I go with the only double Gold medallist, :KOR Hwang Kyung-seon.

Wow, that’s a lot indeed.

And i thought this week is less packed with sports events to follow than usual… ;-)

It's sad that my fave and hometown hero Anastasia Kelesidou was not an option for women's discus, getting silver twice and both times the women who won gold got caught doping...

    • the basic is the same but with different tricks, different strategy etc. it's a mixture of frestyle and Greco because you can't dive for a single leg attack.    I'm surprised to see ~20 wrestlers in each weight. hopefully that doesn't tempt UWW or IOC to try this in major events. as a wrestling fan I find this very unwatchable !
