Too bad for Sweden, they gave all this money to Luxembourg for nothing

Maybe they went for overkill and promised Belarussians some houses too if they deliver.

Sure no problem, there are two different nations in Europe with similar names and similar flags, one is called Slovenia and one is called Slovakia. Did that help? :p

Meanwhile I've been getting used to a simply trick to not forget it anymore. SLOVENsko = SLOVENia, easy!

Slovensko means "Slovenian" in Croatian, so there's that. :p

c´mon this is really easy...

Slovenians call Slovakia Slovaška and Slovakian slovaščina.

Slovakians call Slovenia Slovinsko and Slovenian slovinsky.

Slovenians in Slovenian are Slovenci.
Slovakians in Slovakian are Slovaci.

Slovenians in Slovakian are Slovinci.
Slovakians in Slovenian are Slovaki.

There is surely the potential for a Eurovision song there, catchy lyrics or what? :d

And that's a wrap for :CPV Cape Verde :(

Unless Honduras loses both remaining games and Panama miraculously beats Australia, there won't be any new nation besides Iceland. Maybe it's for the best, as I'll be less interested. :p

Maybe Syria miraculously beats Australia and then we can have a new nation

Plus if nations like Scotland and Northern Ireland qualify then they will be like new nations as it is decades since they appeared previously..... and on the same note, looks like we can soon congratulate Egypt on a long awaited return!

Sure, just give me minus one hour :d

In any case, it would be interesting to find out when Luxembourg lost so hard the last time. They never lose by this margin, especially not against someone like Sweden! :p

9:0 is their record loss, from 1982...

    • Spalletti is a much better coach than Gattuso, but what did his team show at the Euro against Switzerland, or in Oslo against Norway? Nothing... I'm afraid that even Guardiola and Klopp wouldn't help here- well, maybe they could somehow push Bosnia through, but what next?
