It definitely was. The foul was clear and it was right on the line, which means inside the penalty box.

Foul started outside the penalty box. At least referee should have consult VAR. Plus, many website also noted that penalty was controversial.

Lukaku goal: Dammit Tunisia, should've given chance to Congo DR instead.

Bronn goal: Ohhh nevermind... So exciting!

What does Lukaku have with Congo DR apart from having a dad who lived there in the first part of his life? :p

Many websites also noted the penalty was, when looking at the replay, a penalty. Maybe there's a lone referee here and there who would have decided otherwise, but it's not even close to a robbery or something.

The VAR surely checked it and confirmed the decision.

I think many people here have no idea that the VAR is a referee who checks every decision about penalties, goals, red cards...If the decision is confirmed, the head referee will never go himself to watch the video.

Neymar can take an example from Lukaku: falling in the penalty area but immediately raising his hand to signal it was nothing but simply a fall.

I agree,it wasnt robbery but it was 50:50 chance to be called a penalty. This referee called, someone else wouldnt. Lets say it was borderline.

It was actually a silent check. Too bad they didnt replay it more times. Now its all over.

At least we have very good game here.
