well, football players are not particularly known and famous for their brain capacities. so I never think too much about what a footballer say or do.

Football players are the least educated athletes among all sports , maybe at the same level of boxers , wrestlers , weightlifters , but the only difference is that most of athletes in these sports are poor

Someone says something fairly neutral about a player: whole team gets angry because saying something is 'provoking'

 

Player from angry team: goes with some provoking move or so and now it's funny
