Benefito win 15th medal.

If Warner and DeGrasse medal tonight (which is highly do-able) Canada will be up to 18 (with Weibe's medal counted as well). Which ties London 2012!

I believe the COC's goal was at least 1 more than London, it's doable for sure! Tho Benfeito is 27 and Filion 29, we need to develop some new girls to take their place soon if not for 2020 than for 2024

Pamela Ware's sister and there was another girl who were performing well (but not consistent) on the platform... so there is a glimmer of hope.

I think Canada could very well come close to our record of 22 medals in Atlanta. Hopefully things can turn out for the relay, Henderson, DeJonge, women's soccer, mountain bike and LaMaze.

A lot of things would have to go right for that to happen. Even tying London would be satisfactory for me

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
