Belgium getting a 10th place after Langer's unfortunate situation is by far the performance of the day

Fantastic shooting as well, using only two extra rounds. The closest team in terms of shooting is Poland, which used more than double: five spare rounds. Truly great job, and in the end the fall cost them maybe two and maximum three positions. Cloetens and Lie saved the day!

You know, if they don't get DQ'ed for the safety issue.

Wait a second. Was the Belgian guy pointing his own rifle at himself ? :yikes: How they were not DSQ ? I thought this sport had some very strict safety rules applied before

Couple of changes in our Mini-Team for Ruhpolding. Ivona Fialková who is just slowly recovering from the flu which denied her from participating in Pokljuka last week, will stay in Slovenia this weekend and try maybe one or two races in the IBU Cup there :) The young Júlia Machyniaková will replace her in the WC stage in Germany.

Among Men it is even worse, the mini-team is becoming mini-mini-team. Sklenárik did not feel good and it was decided he will stay in Slovakia in order to undergo some examinations this week. So, Šima will be the sole SVK male in action in Ruhpolding

Michal Šima

well, until he has no bullets nor magazine inserted, he doesn't take any risk...

He had dropped his magazine in a fall and had to get spares from a range assistant.  I thought he'd put it in, but I presume he either didn't, or had taken it out again.  Otherwise the range officers would surely have stopped him.

A switch in the Lithuanian team as Romanov gets to start in the individual, replacing the other youngster Fomin.

Also, does anybody have any info on why Seppala is missing the second world cup stop? Also, what happened to the other Invenius brother, he was a very talented junior athlete.

Jacquelin is not on the start list either.

To the Italian users, Lukas Hofer is out for the entire season, since he hasn't started still?

But he will apparently be there for the mass start. He's training with the shooting coach right now.
