He did actually go through the national selection process though. He stated he only wanted to be selected based on merit. After all he is already a Pacific Games medalist

Big News! The 2019 Pacific Games live coverage will be offered in HD! (Which is great because it’s been 480p at best, so this actually news even though I’m being sarcastic about it). Also revealed is that a minimum of 8 hours of live coverage will be offered everyday. Also, also revealed is the Olympic Channel will be the rights holding broadcaster for Asia, Europe, and the Americas (no clue what happened to Africa). If you have a vpn TV3 Samoa will offer extra coverage domestically (though I don’t know of any vpns with a sever in Samoa), and additional footage will be available on the games website.

Tonga, Fiji and Samoa favorite to compete for the Olympic Quotas in mixed team no New Zealand and Australian archers yet.

Upto 21 medals can be won by an individual in weightlifting in Samoa (at most 21 golds)

Not part of Pacific games but 3 golds each across Oceania and Commonwealth Championships across the 3 age groups apart from Pacific games. That's a lot though

I think Stowers can win 15 golds :p

They have been live-streaming their torch relay on Facebook and its awesome to see how they’ve gotten the school kids community involved. There appears to a lot of interest on the big island at least.
