Western US is going through an odd cold weather pattern at the moment, which brought a dusting of snow to higher elevations in California.

Even weirder to see some light snow falling, then checking the weather and seeing it'll be back up to 30 degrees (C) within a few days. False hope for the people :p

Personally It is fine today where I live, the east is green so far, but the west is really bad bad since early yesterday and the rain + strong wind no and no stopping, forecast expect the rain to stop only by tuesday morning

I am sure I have read somewhere that drowning is a common form of death in the Sahara. When rain does fall, there is lots of bare rock, so it produces very rapid flash floods that can sweep away unwary travellers.
