So looking at the WC entrys Pakistan only send 2 men at 25 rapid fire pistol. 

Why cancel the whole Wold Cup quotas? Probably some of the athletes spended a lot of money to get to India, not a cheap travel to make...

So it looks like the decision is not yet final. The final decision will be made in about 5 hours from now. I imagine this was to pressure India to give the Pakistan shooters their visas. With the RFP event held on Tuesday it's still possible to get everything settled and not have the athletes too impacted.

Stupid decision. Pakistan is not even good at the sport. A lot of countries spent money getting there for no reason now.

It doesn't matter how good they are. No one should be excluded for such reasons.

And, by the way, Bashir was one place away from the 25m RFP final at the last year's Worlds.

To be fair Pakistan only wanted the Rapid Fire Pistol quotas to be reallocated and their athlete does have a decent chance at qualifying, though more likely at a later World Cup event.

 

Still there should be zero tolerance for not allowing a member nation to compete.

Only the quotas for the men's 25m rapid fire pistol will be reallocated. All other quotas will go on as scheduled

I know IQS isn't the best system as some athletes from nations with depth tend to not have them, but it's still interesting to see who is among the favourites.
