Athlete manager Jörg Werner, who has several cycling stars among his clients, has told a newspaper that Tony Martin, Marcel Kittel, John Degenkolb and Kristina Vogel had no dealings with doctor Mark Schmidt. He knows, because he often visited Schmidt because Schmidt was his GP/regular doctor.

 

Wow, what a coincidence, a big-time cycling manager being a client with a doping doctor who is in the midst of a huge doping case....but said manager only went there when he was sick or broke his toe or something, for real! Nothing to see here!

Biathlete, Simon Eder, has been interviewed about the ongoing doping scandal. He says that he was offered "something" some years ago, but refused it. He also says that he immediately reported this to the Austrian police and ÖSV and was invited as witness to testify in the case.

Interesting. I still don't find it hopeful that he's the son of Alfred Eder, who was apparently involved (and acquitted) in the whole Turin 2006 doping scandal involving Markus Gandler as wel (who is active in the Austrian biathlon team now)..

Here he says he was going to do it at these world champs, but 'it didn't happen'

One might wonder if it didn't happen because of a decision he made or because the police broke down the door.

Though that sounds like a valid argument for the Tammjarvs of this World, who were apparently doing blood doping for years just to get a couple of points-scoring WC results...

It massively helped Algo Kärp as well, although 'ironically my best results were without doping'.
