They even dragged Korzeniowski's name into this shitshow. 10k race walk for men? Hell, that's pure BS. This equality thing is total BS. But I get it, nobody cares about race walking anyway so one should feel happy it's still there in the OG programme.

But not nearly as bad as destroying the 50k. This is bad for women's race walking too, after a very long fight they finally got the 50k as well...and while women are starting to change towards that, they destroy the whole thing

Yaroslava Mahuchikh refused from taking part in major senior events and she will stick to her age group.

Women's high jump at the National Indoors Championships.

1. Yulia Levchenko - 1.97

2. Iryna Herashchenko - 1.97 (she found her mojo back :d )

3. Kateryna Tabashnyk - 1.97 (she almost cleared 2.01 twice)

Yuliya Chumachenko almost had 1.95 (the bar fell in the last moment).

Oleksandr Sokolov from my city  won men's 60m (6.68).

ps. As for 50km drama - Start the riots! IAAF became 1 huge circus

Rumor has it that Tokyo 2020 and the IOC/IAAF are considering moving more athletics events to the Morning Session. People seem to think they’re caving in to NBC’s demands again.

Yeah, well, that figures. One TV station dictates the world what to do. They'll probably do so with the swimming too?

Already did

And people wonder why the US is so dominant in swimming and athletics ...

First they got rid of russia in athletics and now they force the whole world to adapt to their biorhythm.

I think its a great idea to modify the race walking program, 50 km race walking has always been one of the most boring/unnecessary events of the games. The best solution in my opinion would be to only have womens 20 km race walking and mens 20 km race walking.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

IAAF doesn't want exciting stuff :d

I mean, who cares that the 50km is almost all the time one of the most exciting events not just in athletics, but in the entire Olympic program, in terms of lead changes, fights for positions, drama during the race, spontaneous diarrhea, and so on. Boring events are much better!

    • Wrestling will have a completely new format, I do not like the changes. ranking isn't really a good idea in this sport, this will force wrestlers to compete in so many events to collect points. which is not good for their health. specially with the current UWW ranking points distribution system which is plain stupid   they are also gifting 18 quotas to very weak countries by that last qualification event. but I understand their point of view. can't wait to see lots of Russian wrestlers compete for weak countries for that 1 available quota.
    • Canoe Slalom Quotas from men's/women's K1 have been moved to men's/women's KX1. K1 will now have 14 quotas while KX1 will have 10 quotas. C1 remains at 17 quotas. Athletes may participate in other events up to a maximum of 2 athletes per NOC.   The World Championship qualifier has been dropped in favour of the Olympic Qualification Rankings (7 K1, 10 C1, 3 KX1), afterwards you have the Continental Qualifiers (1 per boat) and then a new Global Qualifier (2 per boat).   There were a few changes regarding ways to ensure an athlete can only obtain 1 quota. The biggest being at each stage the boat priority is K1 > KX1 > C1 for the rankings and KX1 > K1 > C1 for the continental/global qualifiers. This basically means if the same athlete qualifiers in multiple boats then the quota will be given to the kayak over canoe.
    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
    • In Rome, it would be useful to roof the swimming pool complex at Foro Italico, possibly with the option of retracting the roof and covering the tennis court complex. Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

    • impossible, there are not enough venues in both towns and I mean, Milan doesn't have an Olympic Stadium, a decent Tennis Complex and a big Swimming Complex (not to mention the sea) Rome, on the other hand, doesn't have a Rowing/Canoeing Basin nor arenas and stadiums for the team sports beyond football and rugby there's no chance that all those venues would be built from scratch, meanwhile if we use both cities we already have almost everything we need, especially the most expensive and controversial sites
