That seems unlikely for someone with more connection to and chances in another country :p

Oof, forgot to update.

So, in the Lithuanian Championships, Diana Zagainova jumped a PB of 13.97 in the triple jump, qualified to the European Indoor Championships and solidified herself as the 2nd best triple jumper in Lithuanian history right after Dovilė Dzindzaletaitė. Interestingly enough, Diana (just like Dovilė when she was her age) will go to the U23 as one of the favourites, so we might have a nice triple jumping tradition starting.

Lastly, 18y.o. Akvilė Andriukaitytė ran 60m. in 7.40 at COSMA cup today and qualified to the European Indoor Championships as well. She is the final one to reach the standard as this was the final qualification competition.

Heading into the championships, our team now consists of:

Simas Bertašius - 1500m.

Adrijus Glebauskas - High Jump

Akvilė Andriukaitytė - 60m.

Agnė Šerkšnienė - 400m.

Eglė Balčiūnaitė - 800m.

Airinė Palšytė - High Jump

Dovilė Dzindzaletaitė - Triple Jump

Diana Zagainova - Triple Jump

Modesta Morauskaitė and Natalija Piliušina qualified, but not starting.

It's going to be a fun event for us to follow as we have three fairly legit medal chances in these championships, I'm excited.

And Natalija Piliušina is entering the European Championships in 1500m. discipline, so we're up to 9 athletes for Glasgow. Too lazy to check, but I think this might be a record for Lithuania in indoor competitions.

  • 3 weeks later...

Holloway 7.35 ... :yikes:

After his rather disappointing 3rd place yesterday in the long jump (7.95 meh) he's also going to destroy the field in the 60 flat later on (watch out for Sani Brown too)

Too bad it's on ESPN 3 :(

a must-have for global viewers who love the NCAA sports system...

https://www.espnplayer.com/packages

all of their events are live and also on-demand (for 30 days)...

picture quality is very good (like all the other US Sports OTT portals) and you have a fully functional 7-day trial to make yourself a good idea if you like it or not...;)

If I'm gonna start with this I will have to give up sleeping and eating probably, I'm already 15 hours per day short as it is :p
