I think it will be at least 4 years when all is said and done before they get another race. I think Tyumen was the last one, but it was changed to Finland a few years ago. Which is not that different, Kontiolahti is basically Russia's home competition when there's none that's officially in Russia If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,663 Posted February 11, 2019 #922 Share Posted February 11, 2019 Dutch former World Cup athlete and current Eurosport commentator was asked about his experiences in extreme cold. "Once we had some sort of a youth European championships in Novosibirsk, but it was way too cold to race. The Russians wanted action though and so the jury picked up the thermometer and kept it in the sun until it was showing a high enough temperature to race." RobtheAggie 340 Posted February 11, 2019 #923 Share Posted February 11, 2019 Canada's Brendan Green and Rosanna Crawford, who are engaged, both retired after the Canmore races. Also, The President of Belarus has said that because of the poor performances by the teams he wants Domracheva and Scardino to come back and race again. "We'll buy a thousand pairs, and choose the best. The main thing that they were running. And rifles will give them, machine guns and a rocket launcher... whatever. Only that they were engaged and running, and not disgrace the country as our athletes perform at this year. It's a shame. Such a shame more was not" heywoodu
Kirkpatrick 144 Posted February 12, 2019 #924 Share Posted February 12, 2019 I like Kryuko this season. I'm all for Domracheva and Skardino coming back, though.

RobtheAggie 340 Posted February 12, 2019 #927 Share Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) If anyone wondered why the start times are what they are are, this article explains it pretty well.
