by the way, really brave approach by the Italian TV interviewer, Elisabetta Caporale, to Sifan Hassan...after the usual congratulations, she tried to ask her something about NOP and Salazar...:yikes:

I didn't expect that, especially from her (she's normally very much hyper-friendly with the athletes and definitely almost always avoid a certain kind of questions that could prove uncomfortable for the athltes)...

It used to be very common back in the days when athletics was still amateur for US sprinters to go to one Olympics,, get medals, and then go into the NFL and leave athletics for ever. Relando Nehemiah did it when he was WR Holder in the 110h, then went back to athletics after four-five years in the NFL.

Well, not so much the women.

yeah, also Devon Allen still has some remarkable digits with the Oregon Ducks football team...he could have been chosen by the NFL for sure, if he didn't stay in the T&F world...

79.05 Kaul !

best ever javelin throw mark in a decathlon! :yikes:

with this, if his main rivals don't improve by meters in their javelin performance, the gold medal is in his hands...
